CBD vs THC
One of the biggest misconceptions about CBD is that it causes phsychoactive effects or a “high,” because of its association with Cannabis plants. The truth is CBD does not cause a high; however, it can promote a feeling of relaxation. CBD’s sister compound, THC or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the cannabinoid associated with getting high.

CBD LEGALITY
Perhaps the most popular question in the CBD Industry is, “Is CBD legal?” In short, legality is determined by the sourcing and the concentration of THC. CBD Products that meet the following standards are considered federally legal in the United States.
• CBD Products must be sourced from Industrial Hemp plants.
• They must contain less than 0.3% THC, by dry weight
The legality of hemp plants has evolved over the years – and most recently for the better. The 2018 Farm Bill removed hemp as a Schedule I drug. Legally distinguishing it from marijuana for the first time in decades.
CBD is available in many forms, including gummies, oil, e-liquids and more. There are four methods of taking CBD, and it is up to the user to determine which method is best for him or her. Here are the four forms of CBD Products:
Edible CBD products are consumed by eating or drinking, and absorbed by the body. Common edible forms include gummies, capsules and syrups.
CBD is often incorporated in vape products for user experience and faster absorption rates. CBD E-Liquids are often available in a variety of concentrations and flavors.
CBD Oils are taken under the tongue or “sublingually.” By holding the drops under the tongue, CBD is absorbed quickly by sublingual ducts and membranes.
Lotions, salves and gels infused with CBD can be applied directly to the skin. Topical products are often used to target specific areas of joint & muscle pain.

THIRD-PARTY LAB TESTING
Trusted CBD brands test their products through an ISO-certified, third-party lab for unbiased, official reports with details on quality and potency.
CBD SOURCING
Because CBD is sourced directly from Cannabis plants, the quality of sourcing is important. Look for terms like “Industrial Hemp” (which is known for its premium quality).
CBD CONCENTRATION
It’s essential to know how much CBD is in the product you’re buying. Don’t trust a product unless the milligram concentration of CBD is printed on the packaging and backed up by accessible lab tests.
HOW MUCH CBD SHOULD I TAKE?
It’s recommended to start with five to ten milligrams of CBD and gradually increase your intake until you achieve your desired results. Try CBD for the first time at night – as ingredients in some CBD products can cause a slight feeling of sleepiness.
FULL SPECTRUM CBD
Also referred to as “whole plant CBD.” Full Spectrum CBD is a less refined product that contains CBD as well as other compounds from the plant. Full Spectrum CBD can contain up to 0.3% THC, which is not enough to cause a “high.”
CBD ISOLATE
When CBD is extracted from Cannabis plants, and all other Cannabinoids, Terpenes and compounds are removed, the resulting substance is CBD Isolate. This pure CBD does not contain THC.
BROAD SPECTRUM CBD
Broad Spectrum CBD is similar to “Full Spectrum” in the sense that both contain many beneficial compounds of the Cannabis plant, aside from CBD. The difference between these two forms is the THC content. Broad Spectrum CBD does not contain any traces of THC.
